.CEO Enters China

At 4am on Monday morning our CEO, Jodee Rich, stood in a very long taxi line at the airport in Beijing.  No-one spoke english and Jodee started to worry that .CEO may not translate to the 20 million Chinese CEOs.

He attempted to chat with the other weary travelers, and a local businessman managed to ask him why he had come to China. Jodee then handed him his US Business card...The man who didn’t speak any English took one look and said, “ahhh C E O”.

During our tour of China we met with 15 registrars.  Through our wonderful translator (Ray), we presented our mantra - Identity, Community, and Network - and our US$99 price point, provided a unique opportunity to offer Chinese customers more value with their domain purchase.

Simon Cousins and Raymond Li of Allegravita did a fabulous job hosting us and creating opportunities. Anyone thinking about entering the Chinese market MUST use them to enter into China.

Major Brands are looking to engage their customers everyday. Many have spent time and money acquiring their Top Level Domain and are looking for ways to release its full potential.

Kred has been calculating and sharing Social Media influence scores since 2011, and it’s now much more than just a score.  We are now ready to enter into the next phase of social influence, with the introduction of .Kred.

Kred influencers can now have their very own .Kred Identities, engage with other influencers in the .Kred Network and boost their social status with the Empire.Kred game.

gTLD Co-Op Marketing Strategy

As many of you are aware, the introduction of the new gTLDs to the general public has been difficult.  We have been hard at work developing new strategies to introduce and promote the new gTLDs. This includes a unique approach that utilizes our original core business of social media intelligence.

Our approach - Click here to see a sample proposal:

  1. Mine our vast datamine, seeking individuals that match the ideal target customer

  2. Match these targets to our email database

  3. Begin outreach on Twitter, following the target, and sending them direct messages when they follow back

  4. Connect with these individuals on LinkedIn, Google+, or any other social media that maximizes the outreach

  5. And finally, emailing these targets, again with a call to action to register their domain (including a link to the registrar of choice for the registry)

This approach has been refined and is currently producing a 20% to 30% open rate on average, making it a great tool to get your TLD in front of the general public.

.Build Utilizes Marketing

.Build has recently signed on to utilize our Social Campaign Infrastructure, to help generate more .Build registrations, and ultimately turn .Build into a community.

We created a Single .Build Claim Flow (Claim.Build), that provides a dedicated registration experience to keep potential customers focussed on .Build from beginning to end

In parallel, we located prospects using our Datamine of over 100 million profiles, and plan to connect with prospects on Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and any other social platform that your ideal customer is using,

Lastly, we will reach out to prospects through an email marketing campaign that will educate as well as drive them to register a .Build domain and join the .Build Community.

Reseller Promo

For those registrars that have resellers, we have devised a promotion to help those resellers take full advantage of the new gTLDs.  

While the resellers are hard at work selling and moving the gTLD industry as a whole forward, we would like to make it easier for your them to use the new gTLDs.

To do this, we would like to offer the CEO of each reseller the ability to purchase their domain for $9 (wholesale) for the life of the domain.

To participate in this promotion, resellers simply need to opt in by filling out a short form that identifies the name of their reseller, contact info and domain they wish to register.

We will then adjust the price for these domains, and notify the reseller that the name is available for registration.
